Greek Independence Day

March 25th was Greek Independence Day and Santorini surely knew how to put on a parade! The main street in Fira was lined with spectators watching the parade of school children, military and other important dignitaries pass by. Accompanied by a live band we throughly enjoyed the day with all the Greek flags flying around our heads. It was also great to see many in their National Dress.

If you get the chance to be in Greece on March 25th next year I highly recommend attending one of their many parades around the country. The atmosphere was fun filled and very enjoyable.
